About Me & My style

Hi, so you'd like to find out a bit about Your Photographer - me, a bit presumptuous I know, but hopefully, if you already like my photographs, and there results I could be producing for you, then if you like what you read here, there's a chance that, you'd like to know me better than just these few lines, and then I'll be Your Photographer. If not, then I'm not the photographer for you, and equally you're not the clients for me. So...

Professional & Friendly

I’m a relaxed, friendly but very hardworking professional. With an easy going personality, I like to get along with anyone and everyone, after all I wouldn’t want to scare you, your friends or your families into being photographed, just catch you all having fun. At the same time, I’m not a guest; I’m a hired gun, in the privileged position of being invited in, to share and to record Your Special Day. And in being given that opportunity, I will go the extra mile to ensure that I’ll deliver what I promise, although I do have a tendency to under promise and over deliver, which is better than the other way, round I hope you’ll agree.

And for your peace of mind, as you'd expect, I'm fully insured as a photographer, I carry Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance of £2 million & £75,000 respectively.

Passionate & Dedicated

If you hire me, I'll have the same passion about photographing your wedding, as you do about planning your wedding. I'll want to know everything you know, as the more I know, the better I can understand your style, and the more I can advise you, and come up with a dedicated photographic shoot, just for your wedding.

Detailed & Creative

I appreciate no two weddings are the same, therefore each wedding gets its own detailed planning, I don't pull a plan off the shelf, and I can tailor my style to make sure your photographs are what you want and deserve. The bonus with a detailed plan is that if things go slightly off it, as weddings are prone to do, I can be creative and flow with the situation, and not panic.

Being detailed & creative also runs to your images. You will receive all the photographs taken on your day which meet my exacting standards, no duplicates & no misfires (they get deleted), in accordance with your wedding package, edited to your wedding style.

Focused & Honest

Ordinarily I focus on fitting my activities around your wedding, getting you, your photographs, without interrupting the flow of your day. Unless you wish to focus on the photography, but weddings aren’t normally like that. In the planning stage, focusing on your wedding, I'll give you my honest opinion on what will get you the best pictures, like when to do the group shots, etc.

I also pride myself in being honest with my photos. By that I mean no unnecessary and over the top ‘photoshoping’. Although things like blemishes, emergency exit signs, etc., will be removed if required, but you will look like you, not some sort of plastic ‘Barbie doll’. And above all, I try to be honest (some say too honest), and straight talking with yourselves, (unless I’m hiding a groom’s secret surprise for the bride), I won’t promise to get a certain shot, if I know it’s impossible.

Loyal

If you hire me, I only do one wedding per day, so once you’re fully booked I'm all yours for that day. I never sub-contract, double book or leave you in the lurch! So don't worry, no matter what you've booked me for, my loyalty is to my client. I've turned people down in the past, if they try to double book, and I’ll do it again in the future.

Background

I'm not a career photographer, but a Mechanical Design Engineer by profession, hence the Creative Imagination, An Eye for Detail, which is what's required for both, I still work in Engineering. I've been photographing the longer, but I won't bore you with all the detail. Lastly, I've had a photograph exhibited in the Ferens Art Gallery in the Open Exhibition. But don't worry I've no 'artistic temperament'.
